Aim & Objective

Dissemination of technical knowledge through various modes, e.g., publication of journals, manuals, technical reports, guidelines, organizing seminars and conferences and recognisation of technical excellence through awards collection, compilation and analysis of engineering and commercial data at the national level in water resources, power and renewable energy sectors.
  • - To provide consultancy services and impart training to the engineers/ professionals.
  • - To provide research and professional excellence.
  • - To provide linkages to Indian Engineers, Managers and Scientists with their counterparts in other countries and with international organizations.
  • - To establish a Technical database, technological development and to provide information services to the professionals.
  • - Technological forecasting.

Consultancy Services

Consultancy is one of the thrust areas of CBIP and it under takes consultancy jobs in various areas related to Power, Water Resources and Renewable Energy Sectors. It has provided consultancy services to TATAs, KPCL, APSEB, TNEB, IREDA, India Canada Environment Facility (ICEF), CPRI, US Hydro Power Council for International Development, PTC India Ltd. Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL)/ Pragati Power Company Ltd. TVNL, SECI, NHPC, POSOCO etc. Some of the areas where CBIP provides consultancy are indicated below:
